A foundation under the aegis
of the Fondation de France
Operating under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the Mustela Foundation is chaired by Jean-Paul Berthomé, who is also CEO of Laboratoires Expanscience.
Its three expert committees – Research, Social Pediatrics and Maieutics – combine professionals employed in public- and private-sector hospitals or in independent practice and play an essential role in the Foundation’s work, from identifying topics for research to selecting grant recipients and defining the Foundation’s future direction.
These healthcare professionals award the Research Grants, the Research Action Award, the Social Pediatrics Prize, the Maieutics Prize and the Awakening of the Senses Research Grant.
They include pediatricians, child psychiatrists, psychologists, psychoanalysts, pediatric nurses, midwives and, on occasion, representatives of the social sciences.
The Prevention scientific committee is comprised of pediatric nurses, midwives, pediatricians and psychologists. It identifies topics that warrant further discussion in order to prepare instructional media for prevention professionals.
