Lebanon : Emergency aid

Following the explosions on August 4, 2020 that destroyed the port of Beirut and part of the city, killing 170 people, injuring 6,000 and leaving 300,000 homeless, including many children, the Mustela Foundation has donated 20,000 euros to support the Sœur Emmanuelle (ASMAE) charity.

ASMAE, a Mustela Foundation partner, has been working in Lebanon for many years to promote access to education for children from vulnerable families, particularly in refugee camps. After the explosions, ASMAE quickly joined its local partners in identifying needs, supporting victims and taking action for Lebanese children and their families, beyond the scope of the projects it is working on.
