Key moments in the Foundation’s history

  • 1982

    The Mustela Foundation is created by Laboratoires Expanscience to “encourage the study of child development and how children relate to their surroundings.”
    The first grants for university theses and post-doctoral research are awarded.
     
  • 1986

    First informational resource on infant health is published.

  • 2006

    The Social Pediatrics Prize is founded in partnership with the French Pediatrics Society (SFP) to support projects that promote positive treatment of children and their families.
     
    First campaign is launched outside France in support of an organization devoted to mother-child bonding.
     
  • 2012

    The Maieutics Prize is established in France in partnership with the CNSF (French National College of Midwives).

    2014

    The Maieutics Prize is established in Belgium. 

    2015

    The Maieutics Prize is established in Poland.

    2017

    The Maieutics Prize is established in Spain and Italy.
